ATA 104 Level II 40 Hours Thru Flight / Transit Service Maintenance
Description
This systems course has been designed for line maintenance operations. This course will train the technician to achieve a firm understanding and an in depth knowledge of the major aircraft, engine, and electrical systems along with their respective components to provide ramp & transit maintenance as well
as maintenance overnight checks. All ATA systems will be discussed for their individual purpose, major component locations, control of with Normal/Fault indications of the systems.

The technician will be able to identify aircraft, engine, and electrical system normal operation and functions, recognize the normal indications, as well as distinguish the faults and defects in their associated systems. LRU Bite checks and on board diagnostics as in Present Leg Fault, Existing Faults,
Maintenance Messages, Maintenance Pages, Snapshots, and Synoptic Displays are used to troubleshoot, confirm and repair aircraft defects and faults.
On completion of this course the technician will have proficiency in the aircraft maintenance manuals and posses the skills required to perform routine maintenance for Thru and Transit aircraft along with unscheduled maintenance. The technician will also learn how to properly apply the M.E.L ,C.D.L.., and
Non Equipment Furnishings for defects or faults .
Training Objective
This Thru Flight /Transit Training course is designed to specifically provide a total look at aircraft systems and in relation to their respective individual core components, computer and interface units , and safety systems of the aircraft. System redundancy, aircraft & engine sensors for flight deck indication,
system & component feedback with closed loop reporting, and interface valid signals are taught .
The GOAL of this course is to teach the technician how to methodically and meticulously troubleshoot aircraft system defects and faults for on time departures, to minimize the delays, or when required posses the training and skills required to competently cancel a flight.
Course Objective
This course satisfies ATA 104 Level II requirements. Upon completion of the course, the students will be able to:
